I am really proud to be the Headteacher of our school and can honestly say that working here is a joy. One of the things that attracted me most about the school when I first visited, was that it reminded me so much of the primary school I attended when I was growing up in the south east of England . Since day one I have always strived to provide the sort of education and experiences that I would have wanted for my own two children, and had they not had been already settled in their own schools at the time, I wouldn't have had any problem with bringing them here and being taught and looked after by our wonderful staff. Walmer Bridge and the surrounding areas has such a lovely community and I am very proud to consider myself part of that. In fact, in September 2024 my wife Kate joined our teaching staff and is also settling in to the Little Hoole family.
My role on the Governing body is a slightly different one to other Governors. Most of the time I am required to update and inform the Governing body about what is going on and coming up in school. The Governors act as 'critical friends,' challenging and supporting in equal measure and we are all committed to making the best decisions for the children at Little Hoole.
